Eagles fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 18-8 loss to North Ridgeville on Wednesday. North Ridgeville scored on a triple by D Baker and a walk by H Ables in the first inning.
Despite the loss, Eagles did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, North Ridgeville had 19 hits on the way to victory.
North Ridgeville scored five runs in the third inning. North Ridgeville big bats were led by Baker, K Barnhart, and E Dubena, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Dubena earned the win for North Ridgeville. She went six innings, allowing eight runs on 11 hits and striking out three.
Abby Rigda started the game for Eagles. She lasted two innings, allowing ten hits and ten runs while striking out one. Rachel Adams threw three innings in relief.
