Early Lead For Steele Seals Fate For Eagles

Eagles watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 12-0 loss to Steele on Wednesday. Steele scored on a sacrifice fly by L Reavis and a stolen base by L Stottlemire in the first inning.

The Eagles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Steele, giving up 12 runs.

Steele opened up scoring in the first inning. Reavis’s sac fly scored one run for Steele.
One bright spot for Eagles was a double by Sydney Sukenik in the first inning.

S Dorobek was credited with the victory for Steele. The ace went five innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out four and walking zero.

Rachel Adams took the loss for Eagles. The pitcher allowed 11 hits and 12 runs over four innings, striking out one.

Steele launched two home runs on the day. C Kettleman put one out in the third inning. Stottlemire had a dinger in the third inning.

Izzy Reich, Zeina Hammoud, and Sukenik each collected one hit to lead Eagles.

Steele scattered 11 hits in the game. R Miller and B Sadler each managed multiple hits for Steele. Steele didn’t commit a single error in the field. Stottlemire had the most chances in the field with five.
