Eagles watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 19-0 loss to Steele on Thursday. Steele scored on a single by Kasey McGraw and a single by Kylee McGraw in the first inning.
The Eagles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Steele, giving up 19 runs.
Steele got things started in the first inning. McGraw singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Madison Oberg led the Steele to victory in the circle. She lasted five innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out five and walking zero.
Abby Rigda took the loss for Eagles. She went three and two-thirds innings, allowing 17 runs on 15 hits.
Steele socked four home runs on the day. McGraw went for the long ball in the fourth and fourth innings. Oberg had a homer in the second and fourth innings.
Steele had 18 hits in the game. McGraw, McGraw, Cassidy Kettleman, Oberg, and Madison Wormsley each collected multiple hits for Steele. McGraw led Steele with four hits in four at bats. Steele was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Abbie Vorhees had the most chances in the field with nine.
