North Olmsted Eagles Varsity Defeats Avon Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning
North Olmsted Eagles Varsity weathered a scare by Avon in the fifth inning where North Olmsted Eagles Varsity coughed up three runs, but North Olmsted Eagles Varsity still won 10-3 on Wednesday. Mitchell and Rattay all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
North Olmsted Eagles Varsity secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning. The offensive onslaught by North Olmsted Eagles Varsity was led by Travis Vitaz, Matt Olah, Kyle Maher, Cole Wagner, and Clay Rainey, who all drove in runs.
North Olmsted Eagles Varsity got things started in the first inning when Vitaz drew a walk, scoring one run.
George Trapletti earned the victory on the mound for North Olmsted Eagles Varsity. He went seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out six.
