Boys Varsity Track & Field · Meet the North Olmsted Athletic Hall of Famers- Dennis Dobos 1975

Welcome back to our Meet your NOHS Athletic Hall of Famers. We continue the Class of 2011 with 1975 graduate Dennis Dobos.

An outstanding track athlete at North Olmsted High School, it is very obvious the strong positive impact the high school had on Dennis. Dennis had this to say about his time at the high school; “My time at North Olmsted High School allowed me the opportunity to develop the ability to set and achieve goals. Outside of my parents, Bruce Peepers had the greatest impact on my life. Little did he know that in an unwavering way, Coach Peepers created the motivation in me to realize my full potential as a track athlete, opening the door to future “athletic and professional success.”

An exceptionally strong track athlete, by the time Dennis left North Olmsted High School he had become a state qualifier in the 800 meters, was the Southwestern Conference champion in the 800 meters and in the 4×400 relay, set the Southwestern Conference record in the 4×400 relay, 4×800 relay, the Sprint Medley Relay, and the Distance Medley Relay. After graduating from North Olmsted High School Dennis went on to the University of Akron where he lettered in track and cross country and was a member of the Dean’s list.

Thanks for following along and be sure to check back in later today for the next member of the Class of 2011!
