We are pleased to announce that North Olmsted has partnered with Olmsted Girls Fastpitch Association (OGFPA) to create greater opportunities for our girls to get involved in more competitive softball leagues. OGFPA is originated in Olmsted Falls & Township. Now, OGFPA will include North Olmsted as well. OGFPA participates in the Emerald Necklace Softball League that is ran throughout Cuyahoga County and some non-Cuyahoga Co. neighboring communities. Cassie Gaye, the varsity softball coach at NOHS, is now the Vice President of OGFPA.
Attached is a flyer regarding registration! There are multiple teams for 10U, 12U, and 14U available for the summer of 2019.

Why Emerald Necklace?
1. The rules for EN are more alligned with OHSAA rules, which are the rules your daughters will be playing under at the middle school and high school levels.
2. Players can compete against girls from other communities.
3. With partnering with OGFPA, we are going to group players together by age and grade, ability and experience.
North Olmsted High School strongly supports OGFPA and Emerald Necklace for the reasons listed above. If you are looking for a more competitive league for your daughter to play in consider the following:
Most Competitive – Tournament Softball ($800-1,200 per summer)
Competitive – Emerald Necklace Softball
Least Competitive – Recreational Softball
What will best prepare your daughter to play at the middle school and high school level?
Registration is open until January 31, 2019! See attached flyer for details!
