Eagles News · NOHS ESPY Awards: Fall 2017 results Are In!

Congratulations to all of our student-athletes that represented the Eagles in the 2nd Annual NOHS Fall ESPY Awards. The purpose of bringing a post-season voted award to NOHS is to create more of a familiarity between the student-athletes, the community, and our athletic department.

The ESPY Award ballot generated over 124,000 views on the athletic website!  By creating this voting form for our website, this  “article” brought national recognition from Varsity News Network to North Olmsted Athletics. The Athletic Department would like to give a big thanks to the students, staff, parents, and the rest of the North Olmsted community for making the NOHS ESPY event a success.

The NOHS ESPY’s provided five categories which included the following:  Male Student-Athlete of the Fall, Female-Student Athlete of the Fall, Male breakthrough Athlete of the Fall, Female breakthrough Athlete of the Fall and Best Team of the Fall.

This amazing group of hardworking young ladies were led by Captains Danielle Lajko and Anna Scott who helped to bring a new level of creativity to the line with fun new moves and exciting routines. On October 6th, the Eaglet Flag Team, along with the Kickline and Eagle Marching Band, had the honor of performing on live television with the Kickin’ it with Kenny Show on Fox 8. Even though it was a very early morning, the whole group represented North Olmsted High School in a positive way and we are very proud of our students. The Marching Band and Eaglets performed at the Solon and Lakewood Band shows and our show on Friday, October 20th showcased our Flag Team, Kickline, and Marching Band seniors in a show they collaborated with together. In addition to our Senior Captain Danielle Lajko, we bid thanks and farewell to senior Meghan Hardin! Thank you seniors for a great 2017 season. You will be missed!!
