Eagles Falls In Back-And-Forth Affair Against Olmsted Falls
Eagles and Olmsted Falls played a tight game, but Olmsted Falls pulled out the 8-5 victory on Thursday. The game was tied at three with Olmsted Falls batting in the top of the fifth when Galaska singled off of George Trapletti, driving in one run.
Eagles lost despite out-hitting Olmsted Falls 12 to 10.
In the top of the fourth inning, Olmsted Falls tied things up at three. Eisman drove in one when he singled in the fourth inning.
Bratsch earned the win for Olmsted Falls. He threw four innings, surrendering four runs, six hits, and striking out three. George Trapletti took the loss for Eagles. He pitched five innings, surrendering six runs, eight hits, striking out two, and walking one.
Eagles had 12 hits in the game. Ryan Fenton, Clay Rainey, and Dynis Frigic each collected multiple hits for Eagles. Frigic, Rainey, Alex Rahm, Fenton, and Anthony Novak each drove in one run to lead Eagles.
Olmsted Falls collected ten hits. Eisman, Kilbane, and Galaska each collected multiple hits for Olmsted Falls. Spellacy led Olmsted Falls with three runs batted in. He went 1-for-4 on the day. Olmsted Falls was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Eisman had the most chances in the field with seven.
